Application Process for Foreign Applicants under the College level

Step 1: Accomplish the online application form (HERE) and upload the following documents:

  • Scholastic Records
  • Passport Bio-page
  • Recommendation letter
  • The submitted documents are for evaluation.

Step 2: Once the documents verify that the applicant is an incoming senior high school student, the Admissions Office will inform them about his/her classification and will proceed to the next step of application.

Step 3: If the applicant is not a native English speaker, he/she must submit his/her TOEFL/IELTS exam results with the following cut-off scores:

TOEFL: Internet-based test, score at least 75 
Paper and pencil-based test, score at least 500 
Computer-based test, score at least 173

IELTS: Overall band of 6.0, no single test score below 5.5

Note: If the applicant has not taken either TOEFL or IELTS upon application, he/she will pay the MELT fee and must pass the Mapúa English Language Test (MELT) to be given by the English Language Center (ELC). Kindly reach out to the Admissions Office at admissions@mapua.edu.ph regarding MELT. ELC provides the MELT results to Admissions Office.

Step 4: After successfully passing the MELT exam, the Admissions Office will approve the application.

Step 5: Applicant must proceed with the payment of ₱2,500 for the MPASS Fee.

Step 6: Take the MPASS through Cardinal EDGE.

Note: You may log in to your Mapúa Applicant Portal to view your Cardinal Edge account. Once you log in, read carefully the pre-exam requirements. Right after taking the MPASS, you may view your results.

Step 7: Applicants must proceed to select their preferred program. He/she may pay the reservation fee of ₱5,000 and proceed to enroll once enrollment is open.

Step 8: Applicant must fill out the Student Data Sheet (SDS). Information is automatically encoded in the Student profile.

Step 9: Applicant must select the section and schedule available.

Step 10: Applicant must view the Generated Schedule and Assessment (GSA) and finalize the preferred payment schedule–full, semestral, quarterly, or monthly. Once finalized, the portal generates the student number, and the applicant may proceed with the initial payment.

Step 11: After a successful payment transaction, the student is officially enrolled. The portal will show his/her log-in credentials for Blackboard and MyMapúa. Welcome to Mapúa University!
