Application for Foreign Students under Graduate School

STEP 1:  Sign up at the Apply Now page. After creating your account, you will receive an email to activate your account.

*Note: If the applicant has not taken either TOEFL or IELTS upon application, he/she must pass the Mapúa English Language Test (MELT) to be given by the English Language Center (ELC). Kindly reach out to the Admissions Office at admissions@mapua.edu.ph regarding MELT. *

STEP 2: Once your account is activated, log in at the GS Portal and accomplish the application form and submit together with the requirements for approval. Once approved, you will receive a notification email.

STEP 3: Log in at the GS Portal and proceed with the enrollment. Choose the course/s you wish to enroll and click “Finalize.”

STEP 4: Once course load is finalized, pay the necessary charges through any of the available payment channels.

STEP 5: Once payment has been confirmed, you will receive a notification email containing the official receipt number and your account details in MyMapúa and Cardinal EDGE.


Requirements for Foreign Applicants

Academic Qualifications

Graduates of relevant Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees from accredited universities and colleges may be admitted as graduate students. The accompanying table specifies the BS degree requirement for each academic program. Other degrees not included in the table may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Applicants must submit or accomplish the following:
  • Accomplished online application form. (HERE)
  • 2” x 2” (identical) pictures.
  • Original copy and photocopy of the official transcript of records showing the award of the baccalaureate degree by a recognized institution of higher learning
  • A request of “transfer of credentials” from the Registrar’s Office of the school where the baccalaureate degree was obtained. Mapúa graduates are exempted.
  • At least two letters of recommendation from previous professors or university officials and/or current employers. In the online application, you will be required to provide the email addresses of your two recommenders.
  • For non-resident foreign applicants, the application fee is $50.
  • Additional requirements for international students:
  • For non-native English speakers, a score of at least 500 in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam or an overall band of 6.0 with no single test score below 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam is required.
  • Student visa
