E.T. Yuchengco Scholarship for Senior High School
This scholarship is a merit‑based program for incoming Grade 11 students who demonstrate strong academic performance and meet the required criteria.

- Free matriculation fee (excluding METIS)
- Annual stipend of PhP 5,000
Eligibility
Applicants must meet any of the following qualifications:
- Grade 11 applicants with at least 85% General Weighted Average (GWA) and final grades in Science, Mathematics, and English in Grade 9 (exempted from taking the MPASS)
- Grade 11 applicants who scored at least 85% in the Mapúa Program Placement Assessment (MPASS)
Retention Requirements
The top ten (10) scorers based on the scholarship examination, interview, and MPASS shall be selected as the final scholarship grantees. All grantees are required to comply with the following terms and conditions:
- Maintain a cumulative General Weighted Average (GWA) of 90% or higher at the end of every academic year.
- Must not receive a grade lower than 80% in any course. Any grade below 80% in any subject shall result in the discontinuation of the scholarship, regardless of whether the cumulative GWA meets or exceeds 90%.
- Qualifications and availment of the E.T. Yuchengco SHS Scholarship Program shall exclude any further availment of other scholarships or financial incentives provided for or administered by the University.
- Must not have been found guilty of any violation of the institute’s rules, policies, or code of conduct.
- Must validate their scholarship every enrollment by submitting:
- Certified true copy of report card
- Scholarship validation form to CSFA
Coverage
The scholarship is valid until the student completes Senior High School, provided all retention requirements are continuously met.
How to apply?
The eligibility period begins with the opening of admissions and typically ends around January or February. Applicants are encouraged to complete the MPASS as early as possible.
Application Steps:
- Applicants must initially take the MPASS and obtain a minimum score of 85%.
- Applicants with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% and final grades of 85% or higher in Science, Mathematics, and English in Grade 9 may upload their report card to the Admissions Portal to request MPASS exemption.
- Applicants who are granted MPASS exemption or who meet the required MPASS score shall be invited by the CSFA to take the scholarship examination.
- Top exam scorers will proceed to the interview
- The top ten (10) applicants, based on the combined results of the MPASS, scholarship examination and the interview, shall be selected as the final grantees of the E.T. Yuchengco Senior High School Scholarship.
Requirements:
- No initial documents needed
- Applicants must create an online application via the Admissions Portal
- Must complete the MPASS
CSFA will contact qualified applicants for the scholarship exam.
Please note that there is a cutoff period for taking the MPASS to be considered for the scholarship examination. This cutoff is typically announced on the Mapúa University website or through the official Facebook pages.
