E.T. Yuchengco Scholarship for Undergraduate
This scholarship is a merit‑based program for incoming college freshmen students who demonstrate strong academic performance and meet the required criteria.

Benefits
Eligible beneficiaries will receive:
- Free matriculation fee (excluding certain miscellaneous fees, e.g., METIS, Coursera, NSTP fee, etc.)
- Annual stipend of PhP 20,000.00
- Annual book allowance of PhP 12,000.00
Eligibility
Applicants must meet any of the following qualifications.
- Mapúa SHS students with a Semestral Weighted Average of 85% or higher, with no grade below 85% in any subject
- Freshman applicants who scored at least 80% in the Mapúa Program Placement Assessment (MPASS)
Retention Requirements
The top scorers based on the scholarship examination, interview, and MPASS shall be selected as the final scholarship grantees. All grantees are required to comply with the following terms and conditions:
- Maintain a cumulative GWA of 2.00 or better at the end of every academic year.
- Must not obtain a GWA lower than 2.50 every term. A GWA of lower than 2.50 in any single term would mean discontinuance of the scholarship even if the cumulative GWA is 2.00 or higher.
- No grades below 3.00 in any course every term. A grade lower than 3.00 in any course would mean discontinuance of the scholarship even if the cumulative GWA is 2.00 or higher.
- Must maintain a regular academic status every term and complete the program within the prescribed number of terms.
- Must follow the prescribed list of subjects to enroll based on the set curriculum and advise from the school.
- Must not be found guilty of any violation of University policies.
- Must not file for Leave of Absence (LOA) without Center for scholarships and Financial Assistance (CSFA) approval.
Note:
Availing this scholarship excludes students from receiving any other scholarship or financial incentive from the University, including faculty scholarships under the CBA with FAMIT.
All ETY scholars must validate their scholarship every enrollment by submitting a scholarship validation form to CSFA.
Coverage
The scholarship is valid until completion of the student’s degree program, provided that all retention requirements are continuously met.
How to apply?
The following steps are required to apply for the scholarship.
- The freshman applicant must first take the MPASS and obtain a minimum score of 80%.
- Applicants who achieve an MPASS score of at least 80% will be invited by the CSFA to take the scholarship examination.
- For Mapúa Grade 12 Senior High School students, those with a Semestral Weighted Average of 85% and above, with no final grade lower than 85% in any subject (as of end of the first semester), will be invited to take the scholarship examination.
- Top scorers will proceed to the interview stage.
- Final grantees of the E.T. Yuchengco Scholarship shall be selected from among the top performers in the MPASS (GWA for Mapua SHS), scholarship examination and the interview, subject to the availability of scholarship slots.

- Applicants must create an online application via the Admissions Portal
- Must complete the MPASS
CSFA will contact qualified applicants for the scholarship exam.
Please note that there is a cutoff period for taking the MPASS to be considered for the scholarship examination. This cutoff is typically announced on the Mapúa University website or through the official Facebook pages.
