Academic Scholarship for President’s Listers - Undergraduate
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | Merit-based |
| Sponsor | University |
Benefits
- President’s Listers with a per-term weighted average of 1.00 to 1.50 are entitled to a 100% tuition discount.
- President’s Listers with a per-term weighted average of 1.51 to 1.75 are entitled to a 50% tuition discount.
Eligibility
President’s Listers are students from the Dean’s List who occupy the top spot(s) in their respective programs.
Eligibility for the Dean’s List
To qualify for the Dean’s List in a given term, a student must meet the following requirements:
- No failed course grades (F, 5.00, ABS) in any term
- No course grade of IP (In Progress) — effective starting 1Q AY 2020–2021
- A running GWA between 2.00 and 1.00
- A weighted average between 1.75 and 1.00 per term
- Enrollment in the full curricular load, but not fewer than:
- 12 units (quarterm)
- 15 units (trimester)
- No record of academic dismissal from a previous program
- No course grade of C (Continuing) for the term
- No modular or course grade of I (Incomplete) for the term
- No course grade of W (Official Withdrawal/Dropping of Course) for the term
Considerations for Non-Numeric Grades
A student who has obtained any of the following grades may still qualify for the Dean’s List and President’s List, provided the total number of enrolled units (including the course with such grade) is not less than the curricular load: :
- P (Passed)
- AU (Audit)
A student who receives NR (No Report) must coordinate with the instructor to have it changed to a passing mark within one (1) week after the release of final grades. Failure to comply results in disqualification from both the Dean’s List and President’s List.
Eligibility for the President’s List
- Students on the Dean’s List who occupy the top spot(s) in their program shall be included in the President’s List.
- A student enrolled in a double-degree undergraduate program who qualifies for the President’s List in both programs may avail the academic scholarship for only one program.
