This scholarship is a merit‑based and financial‑assistance program intended for incoming freshman students who are graduates of recognized Public Science High Schools and who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need.

Benefits
Eligible beneficiaries will receive:
- 40% tuition fee discount
- Annual stipend of PhP 40,000.00
Eligibility
Applicants must meet any of the following qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of any recognized Public Science High School in the Philippines
- Must be approved as an Income‑Based Financial Assistance Program (IBFAP) grantee
- Must obtain a score of not lower than 70% in the MPASS
- Must be an incoming freshman
Coverage and Responsibilities of Grantees
The benefits of the scholarship may be enjoyed by approved scholars until the completion of the program, provided that they continuously meet and comply with the following responsibilities:
- Maintain a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 2.75 each term
- Must not incur a final grade lower than 3.00 in any course
- Enroll in a minimum of 12 academic units per term
- Must not shift to another academic program
How to apply?
The following steps are required to apply for the scholarship.
- Submit all required documents either:
- As hard copy to the CSFA Office (Intramuros Campus), or
- As soft copy via email to scholarships@mapua.edu.ph
- Wait for the acknowledgment email from CSFA (for online submissions).
- CSFA will evaluate all submitted documents.
- Applicants who meet the initial requirements will be scheduled for an interview. Details regarding the interview (date, time, and format) will be communicated via email.
- After evaluation and interview, CSFA will notify applicants of their application status.
- Approved applicants will receive a waiver form.

Parents’ or Guardian’s detailed personal letter about the family’s financial situation justifying the need for financial assistance (must be addressed to the Center for Scholarships and Financial Assistance)

Documents to support the financial status of the applicant:

For employed parents: Income Tax Return or Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax withheld for the previous year, Certificate of Employment and Compensation from (including bonuses, allowances and commissions). OFW’s must submit employment contract.

For self-employed parents: Income Tax Return, Detailed description of the business and an income & financial statement for the previous year.

For parents not filing an ITR: Please indicate in your letter the reason for non-filing.

Siblings currently helping out with the expenses of the family should also submit the above-mentioned documents.

Proof of utility billing (electricity, water, telephone, etc.)

Photocopy of latest Senior High School report card

Certificate of good moral character

Vicinity Sketch of Residence. Draw a map/screenshot from Maps that shows how to get to Mapúa from your house. Indicate major streets and landmarks. Put an “X” mark on the location of your house.

Narrative essay with at least 250 words about your accomplishments and student portfolio of your accomplishments as proof.
