Income-Based Financial Assistance Program (IBFAP)
The Income-Based Financial Assistance Program (IBFAP) is designed to support students who come from low-income households by providing partial tuition assistance based on assessed family financial capacity. The program aims to help students continue their education by reducing financial barriers and ensuring equitable access to university programs.

Benefits
- 40% discount on tuition
Eligibility
- Must be an incoming freshman, with priority given to students from public high schools .
- Combined annual family income must not exceed ₱700,000.00 .
- Must obtain a score of at least 60% in the Mapúa Program Placement Assessment (MPASS) .
Coverage and Responsibilities of Grantees
- Valid until completion of the program, provided retention requirements are met.
- Must maintain a minimum average of 2.75 every term.
- No grade below 3.00 in any subject, including PE and NSTP.
- Must be enrolled in the regular curricular load each term.
- Shifting to another program is prohibited.

Parents’ or Guardian’s detailed personal letter about financial situation (addressed to CSFA).

Documents supporting financial status:
a. For employed parents:
- Income Tax Return or Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld (previous year).
- Certificate of Employment and Compensation (including bonuses/allowances/commissions).
- OFWs: Employment contract.
b. For self-employed parents:
- Income Tax Return
- Detailed description of the business
- Income and financial statement for the previous year
c. For parents not filing an ITR:
- State the reason for non-filing in the letter

If siblings contribute to family expenses, they must also submit the applicable documents

Proof of utility billing (electricity, water, telephone, etc.)

Photocopy of latest Senior High School report card

Vicinity sketch of residence
- Draw a map showing how to get from your house to Mapúa
- Indicate major streets and landmarks

Application Process
The application for IBFAP usually begins before the academic year starts.

Submission Methods
Upon the start of applications applicants may submit requirements in any of the following formats:
Hard Copy
- Submit directly to the CSFA Office
Soft Copy
- Email to scholarships@mapua.edu.ph
Important Notes
- All requirements must be complete and accurate before submission.
- Those who submit online must wait for a confirmation email from CSFA acknowledging receipt of their application (if submitted online).
- Once the requirements are received and initially reviewed, eligible applicants will be scheduled for an interview.
- Details (date, time, format) sent via email
- After the interview and submission review, all applications will undergo through evaluation by the CSFA.
- Once evaluation is completed, applicants will be notifed via email regarding the status of their application and whether they have been approved.
