Undergraduate Financial Assistance Program (UFAP)

The Undergraduate Financial Assistance Program (UFAP) provides tuition support to qualified upper-year students who demonstrate financial need and satisfactory academic standing. The program aims to help continuing students progress toward completing their degree by reducing financial barriers and supporting academic persistence.

Benefits

  • 40% discount on tuition fee, applicable for two (2) terms only

Eligibility

  • Combined annual family income of not more than ₱700,000
  • Must be currently enrolled
  • Must obtain a GWA of at least 2.75

Coverage and Responsibilities of Grantees

  • Scholarship is valid for two (2) terms only and is nonrenewable
  • Must maintain a GWA of at least 2.75 each term
  • Must not have any grade below 3.00

Requirements

  • Accomplished UFAP application form

  • Parents’/Guardian’s detailed personal letter explaining the family’s financial situation

  • Documents supporting financial status of the applicant:

    a. For employed parents:

    • Income Tax Return or Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld (previous year)
    • Certificate of Employment and Compensation (including bonuses, allowances, commissions)
    • OFWs: Employment contract

    b. For self-employed parents:

    • Income Tax Return
    • Detailed description of the business
    • Income & financial statement for the previous year

    c. For parents not filing an ITR:

    • State the reason for non-filing in the letter
  • Siblings currently contributing to family expenses must also submit the required documents

  • Proof of utility billing (electricity, water, telephone, etc.)

  • Grade Certification (copy of grades from 1st year to present)

  • Certificate of Good Moral Character

  • Vicinity Sketch of Residence

    • Draw a map showing how to reach Mapúa from your home
    • Indicate major streets and landmarks
    • Mark your house with an “X”

Application Process

  • Application opens every enrollment period per term
  • Applicants may submit requirements in the following formats:

Hard Copy

  • Submit directly to the CSFA Office

Soft Copy

Additional Notes

  • All requirements must be complete and accurate before submission
  • Applicants submitting online must wait for a confirmation email acknowledging receipt
  • CSFA will evaluate all submissions after receipt
  • Applicants will be notified via email regarding the approval or disapproval of their application
