The EMD Technologies Philippines, Inc. Scholarship is a merit-based financial support program for qualified Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. It provides full matriculation coverage, allowances, and opportunities for industry exposure through required internships and post-graduation service with the company

Benefits

Eligibility

  • Must be an incoming 3rd or 4th year student taking:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
  • Must not be more than 25 years old
  • Must be of good health and good moral character
  • Must be in good academic standing:
    • GWA of 2.5 or higher for the last two terms
    • No grade of 3.0 in any course/subject

Coverage

The scholarship is granted per term or per academic year, renewable based on academic performance and compliance.
It includes mandatory internship at EMTEPH and post-graduation service for up to 4 years (duration depends on scholarship length).

Responsibilities of Grantees

  • Must maintain a GWA of 2.50 or higher each term
  • Must have no failing grades
  • Must not obtain a grade lower than 3.0 in any subject
  • Must enroll in the regular curriculum load every term
  • Must complete the degree within the prescribed number of terms (no shifting)
  • Must not be subjected to any disciplinary sanction
  • Must maintain good health
  • Must undergo internship/on-the-job training at EMTEPH
  • Must render continuous service as an engineer for at least 4 years after graduation
    • 1 year scholarship = 2 years service
    • 1 term scholarship = 6 months service
  • Must visit the CSFA before enrollment each term for validation

Requirements

  • Completed Scholarship Application Form
  • Two (2) 2x2 ID pictures
  • Photocopy of latest Certificate of Matriculation (CM)
  • Photocopy of Final Grade Report since 1st year
  • Photocopy of Latest Income Tax Return of parents or Affidavit of Not Filing ITR
  • Certificate of Good Health
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Brief essay stating why the applicant deserves the scholarship grant

Application Process

  • For private institution–sponsored scholarships, CSFA will announce openings through:
  • There is no fixed opening date—timelines depend on the sponsoring institution.
  • Applicants are encouraged to check the platforms regularly for updates.
