Microsoft 365 Desktop Application Sign-in Loop

Problem:

Microsoft 365 desktop application login is looping on the sign-in page.

Reasons:

  • Cached credentials

  • Multiple emails signed-in pc/laptop

Resolution:

  1. Remove the Mapua account first by doing the following below:
    • Click the Start menu and select the gear icon (Settings) or search for “Settings”.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Click on Access work or school in the left menu or list.
    • Disconnect Account
    • Click on the specific work/school email address you wish to remove.
    • Click the Disconnect button.
    • Confirm: A dialog box will appear; select Yes to confirm removal.
  2. Re-Sign in the Mapua Account
    • Open Settings and select Accounts.
    • Click on Access work or school.
    • Select the Connect button.
    • Enter your work or school email address and sign in.
