Objective/s
The objective of this policy is to establish rules, guidelines, and procedures for it’s implementation.
Scope
All enrolled students are affected by this policy.
Policy
- No student shall be given credit in any course unless he is enrolled in the course and attends his classes regularly.
- . Based on the ruling of the Commission on Higher Education, a student who accumulates a number of absences equivalent to 20% of the prescribed number of school days in one term, shall automatically be given a final grade of “5” (FAILURE).
| # of Course Units | # of Absences (20%) |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3 absences |
| 2 | 6 absences |
| 3 | 9 absences |
| 4 | 12 absences |
| 5 | 15 absences |
- In all cases of absences, the student must present a written explanation to the instructors concerned for proper action. An excused absence, however, does not relieve the student from satisfactorily complying with all the requirements to pass the course.
